In-office laser teeth whitening and supervised at-home teeth bleaching systems are available. At home systems should be individually fitted and maintained by your cosmetic dentist. Our office is providing the newest technology in laser teeth whitening with the Brite Smile system.

The Brite Smile system is a long-lasting teeth whitening procedure that combines whitening gel with a blue plasma light source.  The Brite Smile system is designed to significantly reverse the progressive effects of staining and discoloration on teeth due to time and lifestyle.  According to a study done by the Journal of the American Dental Association, it was concluded that the Brite Smile system is safe, effective and when compared to other teeth whitening systems, obtains longer lasting results in a shorter amount of time.

Modern dentistry encompasses new technology light years ahead of traditional drill-and-fill methods that send so many scurrying to avoid their dentists' offices. With the advent of laser dentistry, patients who have cavities no longer need to hear the noise and feel the vibration of mechanical high-speed drills. Two other types of dental lasers handle treatment of gum disease and cosmetic tooth whitening.

They use a new technology called DELight laser. The DELight Dental Laser offers you the opportunity to have a safe, anxietyfree dental experience, without drills, and in most cases, without anesthesia.  The DELight laser removes cavities and treats soft tissue problems with the energy of light.  The specialized light produced by the laser is selectively absorbed by the cavity or soft tissue.  In the case of treating a cavity, the laser gently removes the decay, leaving more of the healthy tooth in tact.  The laser light works to destroy and remove the decay without the uncomfortable vibration and resulting discomfort.  In clinical studies 96% of patients required no anesthesia when the DELight dental laser was used to remove decay.  The laser is effective for soft tissue procedures on the gums, cheeks and tongue with.  Unlike previous lasers, this one does not heat up the tooth, so the potential for damage to the nerve of the tooth (which would require root canal treatment) is gone.  Since this new laser sterilizes the tooth as it removes decay, and I now use bonded filling materials enriched with fluoride, the chances of ever having recurrent decay under that new filling are much lower.  With the DELight Laser, treating your gums is simple and nowadays, you just can’t find any treatment that is easier, more effective and more painless than with a laser.
